2002 Audi Allroad

This is actually my wife’s car, a 2002 Audi allroad 2.7T 6 speed, which was on the rough side when we got it. We had to thoroughly clean it; clay bar, wash, buff, wax, etc. The factory aluminum trim had to be buffed to deoxidize it, also buffed the headlights to remove the haze from being sun baked. With this car having factory flat clear on the bumpers, flares and roof the only wax that can be used on these items is a spray wax and hand rub it to prevent them from becoming glossy.

After getting the car back to looking good, we decided to continue the factory rugged look by spraying the grill texture black and having the wheels powder coated texture black as well. In the process of the, 50k miles overdue timing belt replacement, we did a few minor performance upgrades, ECU reflash, installed aftermarket downpipes and built a full dual 2.5” exhaust. Later we gutted the Borla mufflers to help reduce exhaust drone, did a caliper make-over and swap the license plate holder with the European version to finish off the look of the exterior.
